You’ve probably heard the news: after nearly a year of hard work in between client projects, we launched AwayFind.com—a web application that helps people to check their email waaaay less often, so people can focus on real work at the office, or vacation in peace.  I was interviewed on American Public Radio’s (syndicated!) Future Tense (check it out, it’s just 3 minutes!), and we were featured in numerous Top 100 blogs, and over 60 media outlets!  Woot!

Just One Tip this Month

Don’t check your email this holiday season. In just 10 minutes, you’ll find that peace.

Don’t check your email over Thanksgiving.  Seriously, just use our free product instead and you’ll be able to relax with your loved ones.

It’ll take 10 minutes.  When you’re ready for the holiday:

1. Sign up for AwayFind’s Basic plan: www.awayfind.com (sure, you could use the Pro plan if you’d like, too!)
2. When you set your Out of Office message, just indicate, “I’m not checking my email this week, if you need to reach me before Monday, click here: [you’d place your AwayFind link here]”

That’s it.  If someone truly needs to reach you, by clicking that link it’ll send you a text message (without revealing your cell phone number).  Cool, eh?

No, you don’t need a particular email application or cell phone.  It works for everyone :)
